Our Learn Scripture By Heart Blog is changing. Change is sometimes thrilling, sometimes daunting, but it is always inevitable, a fact of life. In this post I explain what led us to transition to video and what you can expect from our Blog as we move forward.

We want to thank you all for participating and supporting our Blog. Your testimonies and prayer requests are a blessing to us!

WE BELIEVE memorizing Scripture matters, because the Word is where we encounter God’s heart. The Bible teaches us that the Word is also a person.

Jesus Christ is the Living Word.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Because the Word of God is the Creator’s manual for our lives, it is also the key to discovering our purpose and gathering the courage to pursue it.

Knowing the Word is the key to finding His favor and persisting until we lay hold of God’s promises, that is, our destiny in Christ.

For that, we need faith. As the Scripture says:

Romans 10:17 NKJV
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

WE STILL BELIEVE in you, in your God-given ability to memorize Scripture. We remain committed to helping you get better and better at hiding God’s Word in your heart.

WE REMAIN CONVINCED that the most difficult part of Scripture memorization is that the enemy works hard to convince people they can’t do it. Others who have had some success memorizing the Word imagine they know all there is to know about doing it.

However, we no longer believe that written posts are the ideal way to communicate enthusiasm about memorizing the Word of God. Going forward, we will be producing video Blog posts.

Video’s advantages are obvious:

Multisensory Learning

You will be able to memorize verses by watching the videos, seeing the text displayed, hearing it read and repeating the verse out loud, to help you create an indelible image of each verse in your mind, to make learning Scripture easier and more enjoyable.

Repetition

One of the challenges of teaching Scripture memorization to a mixed audience is that some are more experienced in hiding God’s Word in their heart than others. Video levels the playing field.

You will be able to watch our videos as many times as needed to  cement the verses in your memory.

Inspiration

We plan to weave devotional content and various memorization techniques into the videos, creating a short video that is both instructional and inspiring.

Fun!

I believe that when my smiling face and your God-given memorization talent connect via our short videos, we can go far!

Please let your friends and family know about this resource. Join us in this new adventure!

How can we best serve you?

Do you have any favorite verses we can help you memorize?

Do you have any specific memorization problems I could address in a future video?

Can you give me a sense of the average length of the verses you memorize?

The best way to teach verses through video may be to create a themed series, choosing verses by topic.

If we were going to create a series of videos about a specific theme, such as healing, provision, etc,  which themes would be of greatest interest to you?

Please send us any other ideas you might have as we begin producing video posts.

Please pray for us as we take this big step of faith!

Until next time, Happy Memorizing!
