The power and immediacy of live Christian ministry energizes God’s people, imparting fresh hope and encouragement for our daily lives. However, after the memory of messenger fades, we need other ways to sustain our Christian experience. Beyond the obvious disciplines of daily prayer, personal Bible study, and fellowship, nothing provides ongoing encouragement and discipleship more than quality Christian books.

Readers are leaders. They are able to lead others well because they more effectively lead their own lives. Books are “self service” ministry tools providing the right word we need at just the right time [Prov 25:11]. In spite of the immediate impact of live ministry, books are still a primary means of “unpacking” the great truths of the faith. They provide much more content than could ever be digested in one sitting from a tape or DVD.

There are a number of fine French Christian books already in print. However, we discovered many top quality classic Christian books that had ministered powerfully to us are unavailable in French. They should be! These materials serve a unique need in the Body of Christ. Leaders need these books. They are a proven yardstick against which “new” doctrines can be measured.

Frequently, since the French audience for Christian books is small, commercial publishers of French Christian books are looking first for the author whose media presence will guarantee sales. Unfortunately, a number of proven Christian classics do not meet this criteria! Publishing that prioritizes visibility sales leads to a narrower stream of Christian thought, where the thin veneer of style and contemporaniety can at times triumph over substance and value.

A non-profit organization, we hope to be able to fill this unmet need by providing these books in French. We plan to offer free book excerpts as well. We hope they will provide some encouragement even to those who do not elect to purchase the full versions.

We are also making our own writings available on this site. There comes a time when Christian communicators with a unique message feel compelled to put this message on paper. The challenge of prayerfully communicating our ideas in writing has been extremely enriching personally. We welcome your comments about our work!

Because we are a small enterprise, Our intention is to provide ebooks of these texts first. We feel we have the best opportunity for wide publishing impact through ebooks. In this digital age, there are suddenly at least four different viable ebook formats:

Kindle
Apple iPad
Sony
Nook (PDF)

It has been predicted that by 2012, at least 50% of all books sold will be sold on the internet, and half of these will be ebooks. We hope our own ebook sales will ultimately pay for our translation costs. Demand and funds permitting, we plan to publish our books in print as well in the future.
